It's almost time for the 2010 Mighty Mites Football & Cheerleading season! For UPDATED Football and UPDATED Cheerleader Rosters, Game Schedules, and all of the latest info on the Mighty Mites program, click here. It is also time for the West Plains Optimist Club's annual Candy Bar Fundraiser! This fundraising program helps keep the registration fees for the Mighty Mites program low, and also helps to support other Optimist Club youth programs and scholarships in West Plains. Having trouble making ends meet? Ozarks Food Harvest's Mobile Food Pantry could help by providing you and your children with healthy meals for free. The Mobile Food Pantry now comes from Springfield to West Plains once a month to distribute produce and food donated by area farmers, restaurants, and grocery stores directly to prequalified families. Income guidelines are generous to allow many families who may not qualify for government assistance to be able to take part. Prequalification sessions are scheduled for September 1, October 6, November 3, December 1, and January 5. Click here to download full information on prequalifying in the West Plains area.
